An Induced Polarization
and resistivity survey is presently being carried out on the Monarch zone,
within the Wood Group. The purpose of
the additional I.P. and resistivity survey work is to expand the survey area,
since anomalies from the previous surveys are open to the north.
To date 4.8 km. of surveying has been carried out.
The following paragraph
is taken from the geophysist’s progress report:
“A preliminary look at the results has
shown that the work to date has resulted in at least two or three diamond drill
targets. The I.P. surveying has revealed
anomalous areas that correlate with M.M.I. soil sampling anomalous highs in
gold and copper. The work will continue
in defining these anomalies. About
another six kilometres of IP/resistivity surveying is to be carried out and is
expected to be finished by April 23rd”.
As soon as the survey is
completed, the Company plans to test these anomalies with diamond drilling.
The Wood Property is owned and operated in a 50/50 joint venture with Lakewood Mining Co. Ltd. (LKW-V)
The Company has recently increased the size of the Wood Property in the Kamloops, Mining Division by acquiring three adjoining claim groups that have positive indications, as reported on fieldwork in old Assessment Reports. The board of directors made the decision to acquire these claims based on the increase in the price of base and precious metals. With the addition of the three claim groups (Dorado, Vic, Paragon), the Wood Group now consists 206 units, 51.5 sq. km. (20 sq. miles) (12,725 acres). The property is located in the Afton Mine area near Kamloops, B.C.
